This remarkable cherry wood comes from a tree with an almost mystical connection to a loving family. For years, a unique cherry tree thrived in their yard, despite growing in shade where cherry trees typically struggle. The tree's distinctive feature was its two main branches that joined together at the trunk, creating a natural symbol of unity.
When the family's beloved grandfather passed away, something extraordinary happened—one of the tree's main branches died, while the other continued to flourish. Years later, after their grandmother's passing, the second branch also began to fail, and eventually the entire tree died.
Unable to bear sending this memory-laden tree to a landfill, the family sought a way to honor its connection to their grandparents. That's when they found Grayhill Woodworking LLC, and together we created a plan to transform this cherished tree into heirloom pieces that would carry forward the love and memories for generations to come.
